Whakatikei River at Blue Gum Spur

The Whakatiki River is a major tributary of the Hutt River and drains the western side of the Hutt Catchment.

With a catchment area of 82 square kilometres, the river has headwaters in the Tararua Forest Park and joins the Hutt River in the middle reaches of the river.
