The information provided on this website is intended to provide general information to the public. All reasonable measures have been taken to ensure that the information it contains is accurate. However, visitors are advised that:
From time to time councils change the laboratory contracted to analyse water samples. While every effort is made to ensure these changes don’t effect long-term trends there may be some parameters where it is difficult to determine the difference between a change in the environment and a change brought about by lab method change.
Water quality and recreation: Where this website gives information on water quality or suitability these are guidelines based on annual microbiological conditions. This website does not comment or report on other safety and health hazards you may face when enjoying water-related activities (such as currents or rips).
Air quality: These data are obtained directly from council databases, and real-time (i.e. hourly, daily and monthly) data may not have been verified by councils prior to publication on this website.
