Waikanae River at Water Treatment Plant

The Waikanae River is located on the West Coast of the Wellington Region, and drains the south western portion of the Tararua Ranges.

The catchment has a total area of 149 square kilometres, and flows in a westerly direction before exiting to the coastal plain at Waikanae Beach.
