Ōtaki River at Depot

The Ōtaki River is located to the northwest of the Wellington Region, and has a catchment area of 348 square kilometres. Approximately 80 percent of this catchment area is contained within the Department of Conservation controlled Taraurua Forest Park.

The River originates in the Taruarua Ranges and flows west towards the Kāpiti Coast before exiting to the coastal plain.
