The northernmost group of sites in the monitoring programme includes two located off the Petone/Seaview foreshore (sites Wellington Harbour 13 and 15) and a third site (Wellington Harbour 13) south of Petone Wharf.
This site is muddy and muddy, organically rich. Shellfish are the most commonly found sea life. A small bivalve shellfish was found living amongst brittle stars.
