Ruakaka River
The Ruakaka River is 22 km long and runs east from Ruakaka Forest to Bream Bay. The catchment is 89 square km and is dominated by pasture with areas of the upper catchment in native forest. The underlying geology at the monitoring site is mainly soft sediments.
