The Kerikeri River at Rainbow falls, close to Kerikeri, is a beautiful spot beneath the stunning Rainbow Falls. A large pool beneath the falls surrounded by native bush is a popular swimming spot and there are a number of walks available in the area. The catchment contains a range of land uses, including pastoral, horticulture, agriculture, and pine forestry. There are small areas of native forest in the headwaters.
