Urenui River
This hill country river is typically discoloured by sediment at low tide with improved water quality at high tide. The estuary is extensively used by visitors to the Urenui Beach settlement.
For all sites, the Council advises :
Avoid for three days after heavy rain, if the river is high, or if you cannot see the bottom clearly.
