Katikara Stream
The Katikara Stream is located on the western side of Taranaki Maunga. It begins in Te Papa-Kura-o-Taranaki (the national park) and flows a short distance to the sea. This catchment has been included in the macroinvertebrate monitoring programme to monitor trends related to riparian planting.
