Kapoaiaia Stream

Originating on the slopes of Taranaki Maunga, the Kapoaiaia Stream flows westward through a catchment that includes a mix of native bush and predominantly agricultural land before reaching the sea at Cape Egmont. The stream is part of Taranaki Regional Council’s macroinvertebrate monitoring programme, which tracks ecological trends associated with riparian planting and land use.
