Lake Rotoma at Whangaroa
On the left as you approach Lake Rotomā from Rotorua is a reserve area with an all-weather boat ramp and jetty and toilets. The waterfront camping ground makes an ideal summer retreat with a petrol station and general store nearby.
Lake Rotoma is renowned for its beauty and its crystal clear water. It is a popular location for all forms of fresh water sport and recreation - swimming, boating, waterskiing, wakeboarding, kayaking and, particularly, trout fishing. It features a multitude of white sand beaches where you can always find a sheltered place to enjoy your day's activities.
