Comparing consented and used water

This allows you to compare how much water is actually being used to the maximum limit set in the regional plan.  Consented water takes over 10 litres per second (0.01 m3/s) are now required to use metering to monitor how much water they actually use. Prior to 10 Nov 2012, only takes more than 20 litres per second required metering. Measured water use will also be required for water takes of 5-10 L/s in the future (by 10 Nov 2016). Note: Consent conditions may still require meters for rates of take that are not required by the water metering regulations.
