Aerial spraying on selected gravel beaches will be carried out between 1st February and 30th March 2026.
Horizons Regional Council hereby notifies river users and property owners adjacent to the Rangitīkei, Turakina and Whangaehu/Mangawhero river schemes that aerial spraying of selected gravel beaches and willows encroaching riverbanks (Turakina and Whangaehu schemes) will be carried out between 1st February and 30th March 2026.

A letter notifying all affected parties will be sent before spraying commences.
