Grabbing gravel helps us to manage your river by keeping the river bed low enough so that the stop banks along the river can work. We make sure that we don’t take too much, but that we also take enough to keep the river bed at the right level. Help us manage flooding in the Hutt Valley and respect our precious taonga by putting part of the river in your home or garden.
