There is currently an amber alert toxic algae caution in place at Hutt River at Silverstream due to an observed increase in toxic algae.
We recommend you exercise caution when swimming, especially if you have young children that may put things in their mouth.
Keep dogs on leads and away from the river’s edge. Most importantly do not let them scavenge anything from the riverbanks.
