The bathing monitoring site at the eastern side of the beach has generally been suitable for swimming, however due to ongoing contamination in Owhiro stream, particularly within 48 hours of heavy rainfall, we advise against swimming/playing in the stream or the vicinity of Owhiro stream outlet.
