The Miranda site is located in the south-western corner of the Firth of Thames on intertidal sand/mudflats, inside the Miranda Wildlife Refuge (Ramsar) area. This site has been monitored since 2001 and is generally sampled once each year for sediment-dwelling organisms (macrofauna) and sediment characteristics. This site is in good health and the sediment mud content ranges from 4 – 22%.
