Queenstown Lakes District Council has advised a wastewater overflow occured this morning at 9.30 am at Frankton Beach (Lake Avenue/near the public toilets). The overflow was stopped at approximately 10.40 am.
Signage has been installed along the lake front and sampling has begun.
Avoid contact with the water in this area until further notice.
