This site is unsuitable for recreational use due to high levels of E. coli (an indicator of faecal (poo) contamination).
Avoid activities in or on the water, such as swimming, kayaking or water skiing. Faecal contamination can cause illness in people when ingested.
We are awaiting the results of a second water sample to confirm the levels of E. coli at this site. Updated results will be published on LAWA within two to five days of this notice.
