Waikawa at u/s Manakau Confluence

This site is located just upstream of the confluence with the Manakau stream in the lower Waikawa catchment. It is valued as a Dotterel and wader bird nesting habitat. It is also a known habitat for native shortjaw kokopu and redfin bully. This site is within the Waikawa target catchment for diffuse sourced nutrient management.
