Selwyn River at Upper Huts
This site is located in the lower reaches of the Selwyn River, a short distance from Lake Ellesmere.
This site is monitored for recreational water quality during the summer months only.
At this site, the Selwyn River is deep and slow moving partially because it is confined by high stop banks. Walking is possible along these stop banks.
