Lake Aviemore is a large hydro lake with a number of camping grounds and boat access. Loch Laird is a small loch located near the Benmore Dam that spills into Lake Aviemore.
This site is monitored for recreational water quality during the summer months only.
The Loch is a popular area for swimming, boating and camping with access right down to the lake front. Periodic spilling from the Benmore Dam can make this site unsuitable for recreation due to high volumes of water being released.
