Grey Road

This was the main monitoring site for Timaru city from 1997 to early 2006. The site had to be moved when the Timaru Main School was closed, as it was located in the school's grounds. A new site was established in Anzac Square in April 2006. A comparison of PM₁₀ measured at both sites in 2006 is shown when you click Read more +.

Out of the contaminants measured at this site only PM₁₀ has exceeded guidelines. Concentrations of carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide have been lower than guidelines when measured. Nitrogen dioxide was monitored between July and December 2005.
