Lincoln

At this site ozone has been monitored in summer on four occasions starting in 1998, and in 2010 PM₁₀ was also monitored. Ozone and PM₁₀ concentrations were both below guidelines when monitored. 

Monitoring of ozone at Lincoln was undertaken as part of a study of the effect of Christchurch emissions, particularly motor vehicle emissions, on ozone concentrations. Lincoln was chosen as a site because it is downwind of the predominant summer wind in Christchurch. Ozone was monitored in the summer of 1998, 2003, 2007, and 2010. Summer was chosen because of the role of sunlight in ozone formation.
