Utuhina at Depot St

The Utuhina at Depot Street site was installed as part of the Rotorua Lakes Protection and Restoration Programme.

The flow measured at this site is used to control the low dosage rate of alum to the Utuhina Stream. The alum injection into the stream is used to prevent dissolved phosphorus entering Lake Rotorua.
