Wairoa

The Wairoa monitoring site is located off Tourist Road near Clevedon, in a catchment which is primarily pasture with some native and planted forest.

This site was installed in 1986 and has since been collecting vital river flow data for the region.

The Wairoa drains into the Clevedon river which in turn flows into the Tamaki Strait.

This is a long term water quality monitoring site, set up to monitor the effects of rural pasture land use.
