Puhinui

The Puhinui flow station is located off Lambie Drive, Manukau.

 

The sites purpose is to monitor urban flood flow, and provide water balance estimates of the Manukau City aquifer.
A 1:5 concrete weir was constructed on 26/02/1990. This was built on top of the drop structure.

During 2003, a fish passage was constructed to comply with Auckland Council ALW plan regulations.

The site is a long term baseline freshwater water quality monitoring site, monitoring the effects of urban land use.
