Aroaro Stream

Aroaro Stream is a mid order stream located in the Ness Valley in the region's southeast. The headwaters originate in the foothills of the Hunua Ranges and Mātaitai Forest and flow in a northwesterly direction, discharging to the Wairoa River via Urungahauhau Stream. The catchment is largely rural landcover in lowland areas, with native and exotic forest higher gradient areas around the headwaters.
