This site is in the lower part of the Hellyers Creek arm of the Upper Waitematā Harbour. Monitoring began here in 2005 and was initiated to help detect impacts of urban development in the surrounding catchments.
Mud content and macrofauna are sampled every three months, and contaminants every three years. Mud content is high and negatively impacts ecology, however contaminant concentrations are generally low.
