Pukaki Upper is one of three sites in the Pukaki Inlet on the eastern shoreline of the Manukau Harbour. This muddy site is in the upper reaches of the inlet, in a tributary extending northwards from main channel.
Pukaki Upper was first monitored in 2002, and today is monitored every few years for macrofauna, mud content and metal concentrations.
