Located close to the mouth of the Māngere Inlet and adjacent to Waikaraka Cemetery, this site was first sampled in 1998 for the metals copper, lead and zinc, and today includes sampling for macrofauna, muddiness, as well as the additional metals arsenic and mercury. Previous sampling has also included organic contaminants.
The site receives input from the surrounding predominantly industrial catchment, and currently has the lowest level of muddiness and metal contamination of the sites in the Māngere Inlet.
