Air quality is generally good for most of time in many areas. Air pollution sources are mainly from vehicle emissions (particularly at busy roadside) and residential home heating (during winter). The monitored CO and NO2 concentrations meet national environmental standards for air quality. PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations usually meet national environmental standards for air quality and guidelines although exceedances occur occasionally.
