The Gisborne District Council has 31 stream and river monitoring sites displayed on this web portal (see Explore Region section), where a range of water quality indicators are tested. Most of these sites are located on Gisborne rivers and are tested monthly while some sites are located on East Coast rivers and are tested approximately every second month.
