Te Waha o Te Kuri (Ferry Reserve) planting day

12 Nov 2016, 9:30am - 12:00pm Ferry Reserve, SH3, Woodville Horizons

Join Tu Te Manawa, Tararua District Council, and Horizons Regional Council members for a community planting day. Look around the Reserve and the Manawatu River, listen to local history and help us plant a few native plants.
The Tu Te Manawa project is a series of eight information kiosks to be constructed along the Manawatu River over the next two years. Each whare will contain historical, community, and scientific narratives - encouraging the community to be part of the birgger vision of improving the health of our awa.

Te Waha o Te Kuri at Ferry Reserve will be the first of these whare, and is expected to be completed at the end of November.

Bring your gumboots, gloves, spade and loads of enthusiasm.
