Wellington Water have advised that there has been an untreated wastewater overflow at Point Howard. Some wastewater has entered the harbour at Point Howard and Wellington Water crews are on-site and working to contain the overflow. Additional water quality monitoring is being carried out, and warning signs are in place.
We advise no swimming, water activities and collection of kai moana for at least the next 72 hours.
