Bay of Plenty Regional Council and Toi Te Ora have issued warnings about waterways and swimming holes which have recorded unsafe levels of bacteria.
The Utuhina Stream at Lake Road has recorded unsafe levels of bacterial contamination and recreation is not currently advised.
